Natalia Vershinina has taken over the Russian House in Kenya.
On September 8, agreements were signed at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for Rossotrudnichestvo to open new Russian House partner sites in 11 countries worldwide. Among them is Kenya.
Natalia Vershinina, head of the BRICS Mobility international project and member of the General Council of the Women's Business Alliance BRICS (WBA BRICS), has been appointed head of the new Russian House partner in Kenya. This agreement is a sign of the state’s confidence in a project that has been fostering ties between Russia and African countries for over a decade.
"Kenya is an important partner for us in East Africa. It is a country with a young, energetic population and great human and economic potential. And we are interested not in a one-sided presence, but in mutual development," Natalia Vershinina noted in her speech at the signing ceremony.
BRICS Mobility has many years of experience collaborating with Kenya. Hundreds of Kenyan citizens, selected and trained at BRICS Mobility recruiting centers, are now successfully employed by Russian companies. For example, over 700 Kenyan specialists work at Rusagro Group's production facilities alone, and the company plans to increase this number to 1,500.
The Russian House partnership in Kenya will become an open platform for the development of education and culture, the implementation of humanitarian initiatives, and economic cooperation projects. As Igor Chaika, head of Rossotrudnichestvo, noted, the Russian House is, first and foremost, about people who come there, receive additional education, and become familiar with Russian culture and history.
